HOW IT ALL BEGAN
MY JOURNEY
A GROUNDED PRESENCE THROUGH LIFE’S BIGGEST TRANSITIONS
My work around birth began at 18 within the NHS maternity system. Over the years I’ve worked as a maternity care assistant, studied midwifery, trained extensively as a birth and postnatal doula, and supported hundreds of families through pregnancy, birth and the early months of parenthood, with my work now evolving to include mentoring newly qualified doulas.
“I understand both the joy and the complexity of early motherhood”.
FAMILY IS EVERYTHING
My own life - as a mother, grandmother and single parent for many years - has shaped the way I work. I understand both the joy and the complexity of early motherhood.
I don’t see my role as “taking over”.
My work is about walking alongside you - offering holistic support for mind, body and emotions, woven together with intuition, experience, and deep respect for your choices, while providing practical help, steady reassurance, and space to think clearly.
Many of the families I work with are looking for more than just practical help - they want a steady presence that understands both the emotional and practical realities of early parenthood.
MENTOR & DOULA
Alongside working with families, I am a recognised mentor for doulas, supporting others in this profession to work with integrity and confidence. As an ‘elder’, mentoring new doulas allows me to support the next generation - strengthening care for families everywhere.
Compassion, clarity and respect sit at the centre of everything I do. All of this experience now informs the calm, flexible support I offer families today.
Every family is different, and the support I offer always adapts to meet you where you are.

MY APPROACH TO DOULA CARE
GUIDED BY COMPASSION, ROOTED IN LIFE
As a birth and postnatal doula, I know how important flexibility is when supporting parents and babies. Every family is different, and my role is to meet you where you are.
Support might look like sitting and listening, holding space or offering gentle reassurance when things feel uncertain.
It may also be practical and hands-on - preparing meals or drinks, caring for or feeding your baby while you rest or shower, walking the dog, folding laundry, running errands, or ordering shopping.
Together we can talk about what would feel most supportive for you and your family.
My own breastfeeding journey - from six weeks with my first baby to four years with my third - alongside my training as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter with La Leche League, has given me both lived experience and professional knowledge.
I also used formula with my first two children and have since supported many families who choose this path. Whatever your feeding circumstances, I offer non-judgemental support to help you find a rhythm that feels right for you and your baby.
“I also regularly support families with older babies and children. When a new little one arrives, juggling everyone’s needs can feel overwhelming, so support may include school runs, meal prepping, light home organisation, or caring for siblings.”
I offer daytime support, and overnight care.
Sometimes support extends beyond the home - accompanying you on outings or to events as an extra pair of hands, assembling flat-packed furniture, building a playhouse, or even painting the nursery.
I often describe myself as a Life Doula, offering support that gently extends beyond traditional maternity care.
My work is guided by compassion, flexibility and empowerment, and I welcome conversations about whatever support feels helpful.
HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU
I provide empathetic, flexible support designed to help you navigate birth and the first months of parenthood with confidence.
By working intuitively and responsively, I offer a bespoke experience that empowers your whole family, ensuring you feel held and heard through every step of the transition.
